Preparing for your practical test
If you are taking your practical test on a larger bike than a 125 you cannot practice using this bike on the road unless accompanied by an instructor. It is because of this that we allow 2 days of intensive training before your test. This is more than enough to take you from CBT level through to the test standard.

You may, however, find that you want to practice to increase your confidence or have a break in between you CBT and practical course. We would recommend purchasing a 125cc bike, practicing U-turns and just getting as many miles on the clock as you can. Nothing beats experience so the more you ride the easier you will find your test.

Smart Learning can help you find a 125 and can even supply them. Please contact us for further details.

For your actual course the only preparation you need to do is to purchase your equipment (if appropriate) and make sure you are fit and alert on the day. Experience tells us that learning a new skill is hard work and you will be surprisingly tired by the end of the day so don’t plan a big night out around your course and test! Arriving on time, fresh and ready to listen and learn is the best preparation you can do.
